Privacy Policy

Last updated August 1, 2026

Trekadoo Family Vacations (“Trekadoo,” “we,” “us”) is a small, family-run collection of vacation homes based in Las Vegas, Nevada. We care about your privacy the same way we’d want ours cared for. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Information we collect

When you contact us. Our contact form sends your message to our own inbox. We receive your name, email address, your message, and — if you started from a particular home — the home, dates and party size you were looking at, so we can answer without making you repeat yourself. Everything in that form is optional except your name, email and message.

When you book. Reservations are completed on the Direct Booking Site operated by our booking partner, Hostfully. The guest details and payment information you enter to book are collected and processed by Hostfully under Hostfully’s privacy policy, not by this website. We never see or store your card details.

When you check prices. Asking for a quote sends the home, your dates and your party size to Hostfully to price. That request carries no name or contact details.

Automatically. Our host, Cloudflare, processes the technical information any web server needs to serve a page and to keep the site up — including your IP address — and applies rate limiting and bot protection. We do not run website analytics, advertising tags, session recording, or any cross-site tracking. Because we set no non-essential cookies, there’s no cookie-consent banner to click.

Spam protection on the contact form. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused alternative to CAPTCHA. It doesn’t ask you to identify traffic lights and it doesn’t set a tracking cookie, but it does receive your IP address in order to tell a person from a bot.

How we use information

  • To answer your questions and help plan your stay.
  • To show live pricing and availability for our homes (these come from Hostfully when you request a quote).
  • To keep the site secure and available, and to keep spam out of our inbox.

We do not send marketing email. If we ever start, it will be something you opt into, and every message will carry a working unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for anyone else’s advertising. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work, and only so they can perform that work for us:

  • Hostfully — our property-management and booking platform (quotes, availability, and the checkout where you reserve).
  • Cloudflare — hosts and protects the site, and provides the Turnstile spam check on our contact form.
  • Resend — delivers your contact-form message to our inbox.
  • Google — our family email runs on Gmail, so messages you send us are stored there.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our guests, or our homes.

How long we keep it

Messages you send us are kept as long as we need them to help you and for our ordinary business records — generally a few years — then deleted. Booking records are retained by Hostfully under their policy and as tax and lodging rules require.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information of yours we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — just email [email protected] and tell us what you’d like. We’ll respond within 60 days. If you’re a California, Nevada, or EU/UK resident you have specific rights described below, but honestly, we’ll do this for anyone who asks.

Nevada residents

Under Nevada law (NRS 603A.340), Nevada consumers may direct a website operator not to sell any “covered information” it has collected about them. We do not sell covered information and have no plans to. If you would like to submit a verified request anyway, our designated request address is [email protected]. Please put “Nevada opt-out” in the subject line and include the email address you used with us so we can verify the request.

California residents

Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may ask how it has been used and disclosed. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Email [email protected] to make a request.

EU/UK residents

If you’re in the EU or UK, our lawful bases are your consent and our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry and keeping the site secure, and, once you book, performance of your booking contract. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and you may object to processing. Note that booking a stay means your details are transferred to and stored in the United States.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning family travel and is not directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we’ll delete it if we learn we have.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, our booking partner handles all payment data on its own systems, and we keep the number of places your information lives as small as we can. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute security — but we do take it seriously.

Other sites we link to

When you follow a link to Hostfully, Airbnb, Vrbo, or another site, their privacy practices — not ours — apply.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
